Allan is widely known in his role as 4x4 Australia Magazine’s Technical Editor of 12 years and as a judge of 4x4 Wagon of the Year and 4x4 Ute of the Year. Along with 4x4 Australia, he also contributes to a number of other publications with articles including travel stories, photography, 4WD tests and comparisons, tyres and 4WD accessory evaluations, camping equipment tests and much more. Allan’s articles are well researched, informative and cover a wide range of interesting topics. Allan loves heading out into remote areas to enjoy the great outdoors and has a vast knowledge of how to be adequately prepared for all the challenges of off-road travel. Allan’s preferred destinations are extremely remote areas that are well off the beaten track: “I especially love being on remote tracks – or in trackless desert – exploring uninhabited areas with archaeologists or Aboriginal elders. “It’s a great leveller to be in the middle of nowhere, where you have to be completely self-reliant – preparation and planning are vital in what can be life-threatening circumstances.
Keryn's experience includes 4WD instruction of participants from government departments, corporate and private groups, 4WD demonstration driving at the Sydney Motor Show, road testing 4WDs for 4x4 Australia Magazine and guest judge on its 4x4 Wagon and 4x4 Ute of the Year. Keryn's interests include 4WD touring, camping and photography.
