NARVA BATTERY ISOLATOR RANGE EXPANDS
Battery disconnectors for virtually every application - December 2016

Narva has a wide selection of battery master switches available and the range has increased, with the addition of four new variants suitable for 12 and 24V applications.

Electrical power isolation may be needed in some vehicles and equipment for maintenance and repair purposes, or  in an emergency situation. A safe, quick and reliable means of doing that is a battery master switch, rather than having to lift the bonnet and manually disconnect battery terminals.

New to the Narva range is a rotary battery master switch with removable keyed knob. With a flange diameter of just 45mm, this switch  requires only a 29mm-diameter opening for fitting.

Its compact dimensions make this switch ideal for passenger cars, light trucks and stationary engines, and it can handle current loads of 1000A at 12V for five seconds, 500A at 24V for five seconds, 100A at 12V continuous load maximum and 50A at 24V continuous load maximum.

The second addition is a heavy duty dual-pole battery master switch, with removable metal key, for vehicles running single or dual batteries. This unit can handle loads of 2500A at 12V for five seconds, 1250A at 24V for five seconds, 250A at 12V continuous load maximum and 125A at 24V continuous load maximum.

If additional security is needed at the switch,  new lever type with lock-out variants have been introduced. They feature a fixed lever with integrated locking facility that can be secured with a padlock and has an IP66 rating. These switches come with red battery and yellow starter on/off decal discs to suit the application, along with three rubber boot colours (black, red and yellow) for easier identification.

Both of the lock-out switches can handle loads of 2500A at 12V for five seconds, 1250A at 24V for five seconds, 250A at 12V continuous load maximum and 125A at 24V continuous load maximum.

The latest additions see Narva’s range of battery master switches now numbering 15 variants that are available from leading automotive, transport, four wheel drive and marine outlets nation-wide.
