Screw-in Tent Pegs
Bush Yarns and Poetry

Bush Poetry by Verna McKenzie

Kangaroos bound beside our car, seemingly without a care,
One 'roo props, sits on his tail, head back, haughty stare,
And with his long-lashed eyes seems to demand
“You dare to trespass on my Land?”

Take care, but fear not, gentle creature,
Your Land has become our wisest teacher.
We’ve seen sights I never thought we’d see,
What a wondrous place we’re born in You and Me !!
